Celebrate National Wildlife Week (March 17-23)

National Wildlife Week is the National Wildlife Federation's longest-running education program designed around teaching and connecting kids to the awesome wonders of wildlife. Its appeal goes beyond children, however - all lovers of wildlife will find something of interest on the NWF's website.

For example, this year's theme is Wildlife and Water, and the NWF's website will introduce you to over 50 species of wildlife -- a different group of wildlife and plant species will be featured each day.

You can also get tips on attracting wildlife to your backyard/garden, building a backyard pond or rain garden and ways you can speak up for wildlife.

Educator resources include lessons and activities by grade, facts sheets, diagrams and Citizen Science opportunities for students.

Families will enjoy simple crafts and other indoor and outdoor activity suggestions to do during National Wildlife Week or anytime.
