e-Resource of the Month: TumbleBook Library

The TumbleBook Library is a collection of TumbleBooks -- animated, talking picture books -- suited for elementary school children. TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books, adding sound, animation, music and narration to create an electronic picture book. The TumbleBook Library includes a wide selection of stories that come to life for children through engaging animation, including chapter books, graphic novels and math stories. The website is easy to navigate and allows children to hear stories read fluently, and the TumbleReadable format allows the reader to adjust to the text size which is right for them, making reading online fun and accessible. There are even options to hear the stories in French or Spanish! Each story comes with puzzles and games geared to ensure reading comprehension.

The TumbleBook Library collection can be accessed online from every computer in the library, or from home through the links on the library web site (for example, Search for Articles & More | Literature and e-books; Youth Services | Featured Resources; Parents | Featured Resources).
