Celebrate Women's History Month

Paper due on Women's History Month? Use your library card and log in to some of the library's online encyclopedias and reference resources to ensure you have the most accurate, reliable information for your school report.

  • Biography in Context- Be sure to check out the Notable Women section
  • eLibrary - Click on Topics and then History; History: Special Subjects has a Women's History collection
  • Encyclopaedia Britannica - Use your library card to log in and then see the Spotlight section, where Profiles 300 Women Who Changed the World  is listed
  • World Book Kids - Check out the Important People search, which allows you to narrow down inventors, etc., by male or female
  • Women in History - Access journal articles specific to events, people and places in women's history
  • NewsBank’s Special Reports - News articles, maps, images and other useful content grouped for convenience under specific topics and themes, including March's theme, Women’s History
