Swine Flu Resources

One of my favorite blogs, Finding Dulcinea, has a great post on finding legitimate, helpful information regarding the Swine Flu - 5 Sites for Understanding the Swine Flu (H1N1 Influenza A) Pandemic. One Web site not included in the post is the CABI Global Health database, which covers a broad range of topics related to applied life sciences and health. CABI (a not-for-profit science-based development and information organization and publisher of CAB Abstracts) has also developed a 'swine flu dashboard' that brings together up-to-the-minute information on the virus. The 'dashboard' includes resources from CABI and critical advice from key health organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

To provide you the most up-to-date news on H1N1, Gale is giving free access to the newly created Swine Flu Portal in Global Issues in Context. Updated daily, this portal offers: an in-depth expert overview; 78 perspectives (editorials) from international publications, such as The London Times and Africa News Service; 73 podcasts; 2,400+ news articles; and a link to the World Health Organization's pandemic alert status. Use the widget below to access this free resource from Gale though June 5, 2009:
